About Dr. Mendez, MD.

I am originally from Dallas, Texas, where I did my medical training at the University of Texas. I then completed my residency in family medicine at the University of Colorado, followed by an addiction medicine fellowship there as well. Before moving to Alaska, I was working at an inpatient rehab facility treating acute SUDS withdrawal as well as an OTP working in harm reduction and methadone maintenance. In my spare time, I enjoy skiing, knitting, reading, and photography.
