Hosted by the Harm Reduction Special Interest Group, this presentation provides an overview of the steps and considerations involved in establishing the nation’s first state-sponsored Overdose Prevention Center, including legislative history, regulatory processes, and facilitators and barriers to implementation. Topics include legislative history, regulatory processes, facilitators and barriers to implementation, special population considerations, overdose protocols, and opportunities for research collaborations.
