Welcome to the new digital home of the Alaska Society of Addiction Medicine (AKSAM)! As a member, you’re part of a statewide community committed to advancing the field of addiction medicine with compassion, collaboration, and clinical excellence.

To ensure that every member gets the most out of their experience, we’ve created a gated Member Portal on our new site—exclusively for verified AKSAM and ASAM members. This space provides access to privileged resources, community forums, downloadable materials, and ongoing communication tools tailored for Alaska’s addiction medicine professionals.

When your account is approved, you’ll be able to:

🛠️ Step-by-Step: How to Activate Your Account

📍 Step 1: Go to https://asamalaska.org
Navigate to the new AKSAM website on your preferred device.

📂 Step 2: Hover over the “Members” tab
This will expand the Members Content Menu with a dropdown of available options.

🔑 Step 3: Click on “Login”
Normally, this is where returning members would enter their credentials—but for first-time users, we’ll need to register your account first.

🆕 Step 4: Select “Create Account”
At the bottom right of the Login panel, you’ll see a link that says Create Account. Click it to begin your registration.

📝 Step 5: Fill out your registration form
Provide the requested information, including your desired username, password, and contact details. This form is designed to ensure your identity can be matched with our records as an active ASAM member.

⏳ Step 6: Submit and wait for verification
After submitting your registration, your request will be held in moderation while we verify your membership. This ensures that our gated resources remain secure and exclusive to verified members of ASAM/AKSAM.

✅ Step 7: Get notified of approval
Once approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email. From that point forward, you can log in anytime using your username and password to access all members-only content on the site.
